Questions about Praxis
Plain answers to the first questions private clients and family offices ask about Praxis.
Questions and answers
What is Praxis?
A research and decision-support platform, provided through your private bank or family office. Each day it shows what moved, how it bears on your holdings and goals, and the source behind every figure. It informs your decisions; it does not make them.
How do I get Praxis?
Through your private bank or family office. Each one runs its own copy, on its own systems, under its own approval. Ask your banker about Praxis, or start a private conversation with us.
What does it cost me?
Praxis is licensed to banks and family offices, not sold to individuals. Whether your bank charges for it, and how, is up to your bank, so ask your banker.
Does Praxis trade or move my money?
No. Praxis cannot place orders, move money or connect to a broker. It provides research to support your decisions and is not personalised investment advice.
Where does my information stay?
With your bank. Praxis is set up inside each bank’s own systems, for that bank alone, under its own approval. We do not hold your portfolio.
Can Praxis make up a number?
Every figure is checked against its source before you see it. If a figure cannot be traced, it is withheld rather than invented.
Who sees my questions?
Your questions stay inside your bank’s own copy of Praxis. Each one is recorded there with the answer you were shown, so it can be checked later. Your bank decides who inside it can see them.
How is Praxis different from my bank’s research?
Bank research is written about markets, for many clients at once. Praxis puts research in the context of your own holdings and goals, every day. Your bank’s view still appears, labelled as your bank’s view.
Whose opinion am I reading?
Each opinion is labelled with who holds it: your bank, your banker, you, or Praxis as an independent second view. Facts are shown apart from opinions, with their source. Where Praxis reads it differently from your bank, the page shows both.
What happens when markets fall?
Praxis shows what moved, which of your holdings it touched, and what it means for your goals, with the source for each figure. Your banker sees the same picture, so a call starts from the facts rather than the headlines.
Can my banker see what I see?
Yes. Your banker works from the same record, so when you call they already have the full context.
How is it kept up to date?
In your bank’s own setup, Praxis keeps your picture up to date in real time. Every figure shows when it was last updated, so you know how current it is.
Is this investment advice?
No. Praxis is a research and decision-support tool. It is not personalised investment advice under Singapore’s Securities and Futures Act or Financial Advisers Act. It does not decide or act for you: decisions, and any advice about them, stay with you and your licensed adviser.
How do I book a private demonstration?
Use the contact form and pick a time that suits you. We show Praxis to you in private, together with your banker or family office if you wish.
What if my bank does not offer Praxis?
Tell us who looks after your wealth and how to reach them, using the contact form. We contact them, explain Praxis, and keep you informed.
How do I stop or delete my details?
Email us and we will delete what you sent through the contact form and confirm once it is done. Our Privacy Policy explains what we keep and for how long.
